There aren't all the cooking facilities of a holiday cottage, but we think The Cwtch is far more Glam than Glamping, with inbuilt hygge!
Furnished with an upcycled vintage table and chairs and an original Victorian iron double bed, the walls are painted with Farrow & Ball paint, with a lofty vaulted tongue & groove ceiling and mezzanine (not accessible to guests).
Snuggle under the cosy feather duvet and crisp white cotton bed linen from The White Company.
In the winter, gaze at the flames dancing in the woodburning stove, or read a book from the small library, listen to the radio or watch some TV or a DVD from the selection supplied.
You are welcome to sit out in the garden adjoining The Cwtch and enjoy the wild birds which frequent the feeders all day long!
The powerful 8kW woodburning stove heats The Cwtch effectively, with a stove top fan which circulates the warm air and keeps you toasty and warm. You are supplied with a bag of logs per night of your stay, kindling, firelighters and matches.
Initial bread, milk, tea and coffee are supplied, along with complimentary cereals, fruit and yogurt, so you can prepare yourself a simple breakfast before you set off to explore our beautiful countryside and beaches.
We welcome well-behaved dogs, who may be let off their lead when in The Cwtch's garden, which has recently been enclosed with a 3' (90 cm) high picket fence. Outside of this area, we ask that dogs are kept on their leads as we have our own elderly dog, and even more elderly cat. A footpath adjoins The Cwtch, plus there are many more walks from the door, including the coastal path, so you won't go short of places for a morning walk! All we ask is that you do not allow your dog on the bed or sofa, or leave them unattended in The Cwtch under any circumstances.
The Cwtch is situated in our garden, so there is shared access from the gate, but don't worry, we don't bite! We are happy to give information and advice when our guests ask, but otherwise, apart from a friendly 'hello' in passing, you won't see much of us during your stay.
